Chambers of Commerce from Panama and Tenerife sign agreement

The agreement of cooperation includes areas such as exports, imports, investment, formation of new businesses, and other commercially oriented activities.

The objective of the accord, which will last for two year and is subject to extension, is to strengthen the Canaries companies in Panama and Panamanian companies in Santa Cruz, Tenerife.
Both Chambers agreed to support and strengthen the exchange of trade delegations, in order to offer new opportunities to make business contacts, visits and interviews, according to the text of the accord which Acan-Efe was able to access.

Panama: The offers to Supply 350 MW

September 2015

With prices as low as $0.010 per KW / h, 27 foreign and Panamanian companies submitted bids to supply 350 MW of power generated from bunker fuel, propane and methane, from 2018.

The bidders chosen by Empresa de Transmisión de Energía Eléctrica (Etesa) will have a period of 30 months to build plants and start generating and supplying electricity from March 2018.
