Central American experts receive training in Certification of Excellence in Tourism Service "Service Best" Seal to strengthen the touristic service in the region.

During the week of February 3rd to 7th, 18 experts represinting the Central American Federation of Tourism Chambers - FEDECATUR (BTIA-Belice, CAMTUR-Guatemala, CASATUR-El Salvador, CANATURH-Honduras, CANATUR-Nicaragua y CANATUR-Costa Rica) received a training in a Certification of Excellence in Tourism Service "Service Best" Seal in Saskatchewan, Canadá.

FEDECATUR has the official license for the region since 1997, through a donation from the Government of Canada.

The objective of the initiative is to strengthen the touristic industry in Central America, through the formation of experts in Certification of Excellence in Tourism Service (Service Best) Seal, which will allow the implementation in the region, with the purpose of increasing productivity and competitiveness of the Touristic Small Business Sector in Central America, through the National Tourism Chambers.

The training was offered by the Saskatchewan Tourism Education Council - STEC - who have proved experience in the provision of education and training that supports professional growth and human resource development in Saskatchewan’s tourism sector.

The project is executed by the Central American Federation of Tourism Chambers - FEDECATUR in collaboration of the National Tourism Chamber in each country, in coordination with the Central American Tourism Integration System - SITCA with the funding of the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation - SDC.
