According to the interactive platform "Construction in Central America" of the Trade Intelligence Unit of CentralAmericaData, Operadora de Tiendas S.A., submitted to the Ministry of Environment the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) to develop the project called, "Distribution Center of Guatemala."

The document states that the project will consist of the expansion of Sector 1, 2 and 3 of the company's Distribution Center, located at kilometer 17.5, zone 3, in the municipality of Villa Nueva.

Sector 1 will be remodeled to increase parking capacity, Sector 2 will expand the warehouse, and Sector 3 will build an industrial building to handle recyclable waste.

According to the EIA, this project is expected to require an investment of about $12.8 million.
