Shopping Center: $60 Million in New Investment

In El Salvador, Agrisal Group began construction of a shopping center of 200 stores and 80,000 square meters, at kilometer 12 of the Troncal del Norte highway.

The new shopping center called "Plaza Mundo Apopa", which is expected to meet the demand of people in the northern part of the department of San Salvador, will have 200 stores and a daily flow of 25,000 visitors is expected.

Roberto Simán, executive president of Grupo Agrisal, said to that "... The construction is in charge of the Salvadoran Constructora Nabla. The project is expected to be completed by the second half of next year."

Ricardo Augspurg, general manager of Agrisal Inmobiliario, explained that "... the initial area of Plaza Mundo Apopa is equivalent to the first two stages of Plaza Mundo Soyapango, and will follow a design in which the entire shopping center will be located around a main corridor. Therefore, all the establishments will be in a main aisle, in any of the three levels."

Guatemala: Shopping Center Begins to Operate

In Zacapa, the Multi-Proyectos shopping center opened its doors. It has 77 stores, movie theaters, food court area and other amenities, in a total area of 14,800 square meters.

Urbánica is building in the El Espino district, in Apopa, a three-level commercial complex that will have 55 commercial premises and parking for 360 vehicles.

Representatives of the developer of the project whose investment will reach $12 million, informed that they are in the construction phase and that they expect that the new shopping center will be ready for Easter next year.

Expansion of Shopping Center in El Salvador

Grupo Agrisal announced that in order to expand the Plaza Mundo shopping center it will invest $7 million in the construction of new infrastructure and remodeling works.

Representatives of the project stated that the investment will include the construction of 4,000 m2 and the remodeling 6,000 m2With the extension of the building that is located in the city of Soyapango, department of El Salvador, 40 new stores will be added and with this increase the shopping center will have a total of 400 stores.
