Between January and September 2016, the countries in the region imported $262 million worth of TVs, which is an increase of 14% compared to the same period in 2015.

Changes in imports 
Considering the January-September period, between 2013 and 2016 the total value of imports of televisions from Central America grew by 19% in 2014 and 14% in 2016, and decreased by 2% in 2013 and 23% in 2015.

Monthly imports  
Between January 2012 and September 2016, the month that recorded the highest value of imports was November 2015, when $66.5 million worth of televisions were purchased, while the month with the lowest figure was January 2015, with $13.3 millions. 

Origin of imports 
In the first three quarters of 2016, 52% of the value of imports from Central America came from Mexico, 25% from China and 13% from the US.

September 2017

In 2016 TV imports in Central American countries totaled $424 million, 9% more than in 2015, and the value imported from China grew by 47% compared to 2015.
