Central American Forum on Small Hotels

From the 28 June up until today more than 150 representatives from the tourism industry have been gathering at the headquarters of the Guatemalan Institute of Tourism.

The forum aims to update businessmen grouped under the umbrella of the Federation of Small Hotels with regards to the use of social networking and electronic commerce as tools to boost sales.

The Federation brings together 600 companies and has a total supply of about 10 thousand rooms.

Small Hotels Forum in Panama

From June 10 – 14, the VII Central American Small Hotel Forum will be held in Panama, bringing together more than 150 hoteliers.

The goal is to propose strategies to strengthen tourism integration in Central America so that it will become a single destination. The Association of Small Panamanian Hotels (HOPP), in partnership with the Tourism Authority of Panama (ATP) and the active participation of the Central American Federation of Small Hotels (FECAPH), organized the forum.

Small hotels on the Isthmus join forces

Representatives from 100 hotels located in Central America will meet next month to define a joint strategy.

Some 300 hotels in Central America, under the auspices of the Federation of Small Hotels of Central America are working to market their product jointly and putting together a multi-destination program that will start in Costa Rica.
