Central American Consumer: Trends at the beginning of 2021

Last month in Guatemala there was an evident increase in interest in apartment rentals, means of transportation such as scooters and vehicle insurance.

For the period under analysis, in Panama, weight loss products, beer, children's clothing and motorcycles were some of the topics in which consumers were more interested compared to what was reported at the end of 2020.

In the first month of the year in Costa Rica, the number of interactions associated with antivirus software licenses, vegetarian food, living room furniture and travel agency services increased.

In El Salvador at the end of January 2021, there was an increase in the number of interactions associated with cosmetics, pest control services, laptops and tablets, real estate agencies and tourism activities.

In Honduras during the first month of the year, consumers increased their interest in topics such as apartment rentals, home insurance, SUVs, E-commerce services and advertising and marketing services.
