Through a system that monitors in real time changes in consumer interests and preferences in Central American countries, developed by CentralAmericaData, it is possible to project short and long term demand trends for the different products, sectors and markets operating in the region.

According to the interactive report, in Panama between May 31st and August 30th, internet interactions associated with fast food reported a clear upturn, and in the case of Honduras, interest in fast food increased as of May 3rd.

In the Salvadoran market, the long-term trend of consumer interactions in the digital environment associated with the fast food issue has shown a sustained increase since March 15. At the end of August, interest continued to rise.

In the case of the Guatemalan market, the short-term trend shows that as of March 15, interactions in the digital environment have registered a considerable upturn, a behavior that continued until the beginning of August.

Costa Rica is the only market where fast food has lost ground. The decline in interactions began to be evident as of April 26, and by the end of August interest was still down.

This tool for monitoring the interests of consumers in any country in the region allows companies to project demand trends and anticipate the changes that will occur in the various sectors and categories of products and services. This information system allows tracking of any product or category, resulting in an extremely valuable input for making business decisions in the new commercial reality.
