In 2016 the value of Central American imports of faucets from Germany amounted to $12 million, 18% more than in 2015.

Variation of regional imports
Between 2015 and 2016, the value of imported faucets in Central America increased slightly from $216 million in 2015 to $217 million in 2016.

The value imported from Germany increased by 18%, growing from $10 million in 2015 to $12 million in 2016.

Imports by country
In 2016 the main importer in the region was Costa Rica, with $66 million, followed by Guatemala with $49 million, Panama with $39 million, Honduras with $24 million, El Salvador with $21 million and Nicaragua with $18 million.

Origin of imports
In 2016, 37% of the value imported from Central America came from the US, 23% from China, 8% from Mexico, 6% from Germany and 4% from Spain.

The faucet and porcelain company, Atico Mobilia e Piú, S.A., chose Panama to focus its operations and expand its market in the region.

The Spanish company, part of the Concepto (Concept) Group of companies, has been in Panama for three years, operating from the Colón Free Trade Zone.
