Central America: $150 Million in Logistics Parks

In the last year 69 environmental impact studies were submitted in countries in the region to build industrial warehouses and logistics parks.

The interactive platform "Construction in Central America", compiled by the Business Intelligence Unit at CentralAmericaData, includes an up to date list of public and private construction projects for which environmental impact studies (EIA) were submitted to the respective institutions in each country. 

Of all the countries in the region Panama is where the largest investment is concentrated, with approximately $86 million in logistic park construction projects, corresponding to 6 environmental impact studies submitted between July 2016 and June 2017.

In the 12 months in question Costa Rica follows, with 34 EIAs submitted, which together amount to an approximate investment of $52 million.

In Guatemala 11 studies were presented for the construction of office centers and logistic parks. The projects add up to an estimated investment of $12 million.

In El Salvador, 18 studies were submitted for construction of logistic projects, which total an investment of approximately $6 million.
