Cemetery Construction Planned in Guatemala

A private cemetery is planned to be built in the municipality of Salcajá, Quetzaltenango, which will occupy an area of approximately 41,000 square meters.

According to the interactive platform "Construction in Central America" of the Trade Intelligence Unit of CentralAmericaData, Made S.A., presented the Environmental Impact Study (EIS) to the Ministry of Environment to develop the project called "Los Olivos Cemetery".

The document explains that the cemetery will have mausoleums, garden niches, individual niches and administrative areas, and will also include the construction of a sewage treatment plant, mechanical well, water infiltration trenches and intensive gardening.

The EIA adds that in the future the installation of a crematorium is contemplated as an expansion of its services, and that the overall amount to be invested in this project will be about $5 million.

CentralAmericaData has information on the construction projects planned in all Central American countries, with details such as estimated investment, project times and phases, inputs and equipment that will be required during and after construction, water treatment, parking structure, among others.
