Cement Factory Company in Southern Honduras

The new Cementos Argos plant in San Lorenzo required an investment of $25 million and will increase installed capacity by 30%, producing a total of 1 million 300 thousand tons.

From a statement issued by Cementos Argos:


  • This new operation reaffirms the confidence and commitment of Argos with the development of Honduras, a country where progress being made in infrastructure promises great opportunities for the sector.
  • Due to its strategic location, the plant will allow Argos to supply the southern market in a privileged fashion interconnecting their operations.

With a more than $25 million investment and the creation of over 100 new direct and indirect jobs, Cementos Argos continues to leverage its expansion strategy and consolidation with the inauguration of a new plant in San Lorenzo, Honduras, which will allow it to increase its cement production capacity to one million three hundred thousand tons (1,300,000), increasing installed capacity by 30%, with the aim of more efficiently meeting the needs of its customers.

According to officials from Argos Honduras, the new plant will expand the company's total production capacity by 30%.
