Variation in Regional Imports
Between the first quarter of 2018 and the same period in 2019, the value of imported car batteries in Central America increased from $50 million to $57 million.

Guatemala, Main Buyer
From January to March the main buyer was Guatemala, with $13 million, followed by Panama, with $12 million, Costa Rica, with $11 million, Honduras, with $7 million, El Salvador, with $6 million and Nicaragua, with $6 million.

Main Suppliers
In the first three months, 35% of the value imported into the region came from Mexico, 23% from the U.S., 13% from China, 8% from South Korea, 4% from Colombia and 3% from Hong Kong.
