Call for Construction Companies for Road Works

In Costa Rica companies are being called on to participate in the tender for the renovation and cleaning of roads that were affected by tropical storm Nate.

Thursday, October 12, 2017

The National Emergency Commission needs more construction companies to register and participate in the contracting processes to carry out the recovery works on roads and highways affected by the storm.

Julisa Ulate, executive director of the CNE, told that "...There are a great quantity of works that we have to execute; however, we need more construction companies to compete because of high demand."

" ...The works are concentrated mainly in the cleaning of roads, the construction of protective works on the banks of the rivers, the stacking of material; renovation of roads and the implementing fills on approaches to bridges or fords; clearing up landslides and slips that cut off villages, as well as stabilization of slopes."

Suppliers who have heavy machinery and who are registered with the SICOP, can go to the webpage to participate in the award of these works.
