Call center: Revenues up 11%

Up to June 2019, companies providing call center services in El Salvador reported revenues of $188 million, a figure 11% higher than that reported in the first half of 2018.

Data from the Central Reserve Bank detail that between the first semester of 2018 and the same period of 2019, revenues from call center services went from $169 million to $188 million.

The official report explains that "... Call center services have shown growth rates over the last five years.

The call center services with the greatest contribution in this period are those related to communications, miscellaneous sales and technical support, which reported an accumulated of US$117.5 million, representing 62.7% of total revenues and a growth rate of 13.3%.

From a report by the Central Bank:

From a report produced by the National Institute of Statistics and Census of Panama:

During the period covering January to December 2015, compared to the same period in 2014, the economic activities that showed increases in the average number of staff employed were: Manufacturing with 0.5%, Wholesale Trade 3.8%, and Retail with 2.8%. Hotels and Restaurants and Other Services decreased by 3.6 and 0.7%, respectively.

Textile Production in El Salvador Down

From January to September this year the Salvadoran textile and clothing sector exported $792.4 million, 6.7% less than in the same period in 2011.
