Bids Opened for Highway in Honduras

Between $3.3 million and $4.5 million are the bids put forward by seven companies for the reconstruction of a stretch of 10 kilometers of road from Tegucigalpa to Olancho.

The companies that submitted proposals were William & Milona S.A, Continental Delta, Santos & Cía, Eterna, Ingeniería Carretera S.A. de C.V. (Inca), Servicios de Mantenimiento de Construcción (Sermaco) and Ortom Jevi S. de R.L.

Elheraldo.hn reports that "... Ortom Jevi submitted a bid of $4.5 million, Sermaco bid $4.6 million and Inca $3.8 million. Meanwhile, Eterna bid for $3.9 million, Santos y Cia $3.4 million, Continental Delta $4.05 million and William & Molina based its proposal on $4.07 million. "

"... The outcome of the review of offers will be announced next month, and it is expected that the start of implementation of the project will be in early 2015. "
