An analysis of consumer interests and preferences in Guatemala, compiled by CentralAmericaData's Trade Intelligence Unit, provides interesting results on the preferences and tastes of people who are interested in the different varieties of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. The population with the highest average income in the country shows interest in energy drinks, wine and tea. When each segment is analyzed, 2% of the population shows interest in energy drinks, and of this group of consumers, 5 out of 10 are between 21 and 30 years old.

13% of the population is interested in tea, and 47% of these consumers are between 21 and 30 years old.

On the other hand, the analysis details that the population with lower consumption capacity shows interest in beer, coffee, distilled beverages, juices and other non-alcoholic beverages.

When analyzing the general population, 19% show a preference for beer, and 49% of that segment is between 21 and 30 years old. On the other hand, 22% of all consumers in the country are interested in coffee, and of that group, 7 out of 10 are between 21 and 45 years old.

In the case of juices, for example, 6% of Guatemalans report interest in this type of beverage, and of that part of the population, 43% are between 21 and 30 years old.
