Beverages: Production Begins Strongly in 2020

During January 2020, the production of alcoholic beverages in Panama was 26.6 million liters, 13% more than the same period in 2019.

The most recent data published by the General Comptroller of the Republic, states that the production of alcoholic beverages in general reported 3.1 million liters, going from 23.5 million liters in January 2019, to 26.6 million liters in the same month of 2020.

For the periods in question, vodka registered a decrease in production, dropping from 16,763 liters to 2,250 liters, reporting an 87% decrease. In the case of Geneva, the drop was 20%.

For the months in question, beer production increased by 14%, going from 22.3 million liters in 2019 to 25.4 million liters in 2020.

Beer: Production Falls 13%

November 2019

During September 2019, the production of alcoholic beverages in Panama was 24 million liters, and beer production fell 13% compared to the same month in 2018.

According to figures from the General Comptroller of the Republic, the accumulated production of alcoholic beverages in general reported a decline, reducing from 227.3 million liters from January to September 2018, to 218.3 million liters in the same period of 2019.

Beer: Production Decreases 3%

From January to August 2019, the production of alcoholic beverages in Panama was 194 million liters, and beer production fell 3% compared to the same period in 2018.

According to figures from the General Comptroller of the Republic, the production of alcoholic beverages in general reported a decline, reducing from 199.8 million liters from January to August 2018, to 193.9 million liters in the same period of 2019.

Alcoholic Beverages: Production drops 5% up to July 2018

August 2018

In the first seven months of 2018, production of alcoholic beverages in Panama amounted to 172.9 million liters, 5% less than in the same period in 2017.

According to the most recent data from the Comptroller General of the Republic, production of alcoholic beverages in general reported a decrease, falling from 182.3 million liters from January to July 2017, to 172.9 million liters in the same period in 2018.  

Production of Alcoholic Beverages Up 8%

November 2017

Between January and October 2017, 254 thousand liters of alcoholic beverages were produced in Panama, 8% more than was registered in production in the same period in 2016.

According to figures from the Comptroller General of the Republic, production of alcoholic beverages in the first ten months of 2017 increased 8% in year-on-year terms, rising from 235 thousand liters between January and October 2016, to 254 thousand liters in the same period in 2017.
