Beer Production in Panama Increases

In 2010, the industry produced 235 million liters of beer, 2.3% higher than 2009.

The increase in production has been accompanied by large investments by the country´s two breweries.

"Cervecería Nacional invested $ 5.3 million to increase production capacity by 20% and to produce Miller Lite beer for the first time in Panama," reported.

On the other hand Cervecería Baru de Panama has invested more than $ 15 million to double production.
