Through a system that monitors real-time changes in consumer interests and preferences in Central American countries, developed by CentralAmericaData's Trade Intelligence Unit, it is possible to project short and long-term demand trends for the different sectors and markets operating in the region.

This report analyzes the variations reported from the first week of March up to date, the interests and preferences of the population of each Central American country in beauty and fitness products.

When analyzing the Salvadoran market, it can be seen that, of the total products in the Beauty and Fitness category, personal hygiene items, and yoga and pilates, were among the most sought after by consumers.

In Panama, the interactions related to facial hair removal and nail care products were the ones that predominated among consumer interests. In the case of the Guatemalan market, among the main trends were issues associated with weight loss products and personal hygiene items.

Costa Rica reported that the trends that have rebounded most during the weeks of quarantine are those of products for the treatment of hair loss and personal hygiene items, while in Honduras it is reported that interactions associated with bodybuilding issues, rebounded in recent weeks.

This tool for monitoring consumer interests in any country in the region allows companies to project demand trends and anticipate changes in the different sectors and categories of products and services. This information system allows for weekly tracking of any product or category, resulting in an extremely valuable input for making business decisions in the new commercial reality.
