Awards: Construction of Aircraft Platforms

The Consortium TRANSEQ La Estrella will carry out the work at Tocumen International Airport in Panama for $7.8 million.

Tocumen International Airport awarded the contract for $7,842,880.75 for the design and construction of one of its aircraft parking platforms, located next to the airport's fire station.

With a lead time comprising 540 calendar days, the work will be carried out by the Consortium TRANSEQ La Estrella, winner of the public tender in which Constructora Rodsa SA and Constructora V & G SA also participated. For this project, which will occupy a more than 17 thousand square meters, Tocumen International Airport set a reference value of $7,265,382.73 million. "

The proposals put forward by Constructora Rodsa SA and Constructora V & G SA amounted to $7,947,612 and $8,284,621, respectively.

"... The work which includes the implementation of flexible and rigid pavements, consist mainly of demolition, cleaning, earthworks, drainage, lighting for the new aircraft parking platform according to aeronautic specifications and road markings, among other things."

The resolution of the award was published on the purchasing website Panamacompras.com.pa on December 12, 2015.

January 2017

Labisa International Group and Consorcio Rola obtained contracts for $8 million and $2 million, respectively, to build parking lots for Terminal 2 of Panama City airport.

In the tender three other companies submitted proposals for the work. Constructora Corcione y Asociados and Transeq S.A. submitted bids for $9.1 million, while Marco Obra Pública offered $7.9 million.

Awards: Works in Tocumen for $14 million

Odebrecht has won the contract to design and build the new access roads from the international airport of Panama City.

Tocumen, SA has awarded the contract for $13,980,710.25 for the design and construction of the extension of taxiway L and new North access to Tocumen International Airport.
