The contract for repairing and renovating the road network in San Miguelito, Panama Norte and Panama Este, Constructora MECO S.A. submitted a bid of $20.1 million, competing with proposals from Consultores Profesionales de Ingeniería, S.A., Transeq, S.A., Centroequipos, S.A. and Transcaribe Trading S.A. who offered $23.5 million, $20.8 million, $9.1 million and $4.1 million respectively.

According to the award resolution published on Panamacompra.com.pa on February 24, 2016, the company which won the tender to repair and renovate the road network in the San Miguelito and Panama Norte was Constructora MECO SA, and for the works in Panama Este, the winning company was Transcaribe Trading S.A.

In Panama, a contract has been awarded to Constructora MECO for the design and construction of 80 kilometers of streets and roads in the district of David, province of Chiriqui.

The companies that took part in the tender for the renovation of road sections were Constructora MECO, Sacyr Construction, China Railway International Group, Bagatrac S.A., Ininco, S.A., Conalvias Construcciones S.A.S., Constructora Urbana and Construcciones Civiles y Concretos de Panamá S.A., with offers of $48 million, $49 million, $24 million, $25 million, $54 million, $53 million and $26 million respectively.
