Avianca - Taca Launch New Frequent Flyer Program

The airlines will unify their frequent flyer programs into a single program called “LifeMiles."

Fabio Villegas, president of the company, announced that effective March 1st, the Taca Distancia program and Avianca´s AviancaPlus, will be unified as LifeMiles.

The executive said this is an important step in the process of integrating the two airlines "which currently operate as one company". “We are proud that after a year from signing our agreement, we can announce this vital step: the unified frequent flyer program," he said to Laprensagrafica.com.

Avianca-Taca Purchases Aerogal

The group officially announced the purchase of 100% of Ecuadorian company Aerogal.

Gabriela Sommerfield, Aerogal’s president, announced that they will continue using the Aerogal brand.
