Variation of imports
According to estimates by CentralAmericaData, between 2016 and 2017 the import value of vehicle spare parts and accessories in Guatemala registered an increase of 4%, going from $293 million in 2016 to $306 million in 2017.

In the last five years the country has reported a sustained increase in imports, registering average annual growth of 8%.

Origin of imports 
In 2017, 37% of the value imported in Guatemala came from the USA, 16% from China, 12% from Japan, 9% from Taiwan and 9% from Mexico. 

China is the country of origin of Guatemalan imports that has grown the most in the last six years, as in 2012 it represented 9% of the total value purchased, and in 2017 this figure rose to 16%.
