Auto Spare Parts: More Sales Points

In Guatemala, Excel Automotriz announced that it will launch four automotive parts stores, three of which will be in the metropolitan area and one in the department of Quetzaltenango.

The company announced that the sales points that will open in the metropolitan area will be in Roosevelt Road, Concepcion County and Pradera. The fourth store will be in the western part of the country, in the department of Quetzaltenango.

Leonel Fonseca, general manager of Excel Automotriz Guatemala, said to Dca.gob.gt that "... We are convinced that the useful life of a vehicle depends on efficient preventive and corrective maintenance services, together with proven high quality spare parts, and the proper advice of our staff. Therefore, we bring to our customers this new experience of buying spare parts'."

The article adds that "... Excel spare parts in Guatemala serves more than 7 thousand monthly customers of the brands Nissan, Mitsubishi, Ford, Kia, BMW and Fuso."

CentralAmericaData reports detail that in the region operate about 15 thousand lubrication centers, spare parts stores and auto mechanics workshops, and about 65% of the establishments are in Costa Rica, Guatemala and Panama.

Regarding imports of vehicle parts and spare parts, the report states that from January to June last year the main buyer in the region remained Guatemala with $160 million, followed by Panama with $111 million, Costa Rica with $99 million, Honduras with $78 million, El Salvador with $77 million and Nicaragua with $37 million.

Super Repuestos, a company dedicated to the marketing of vehicle parts, announced that next year will invest in the opening of two branches, one in El Salvador and another in Honduras.

The sales point of El Salvador will be located in the municipality of Nejapa and the establishment that will operate in Honduras, will be in the city of La Ceiba. Both buildings are currently under construction.

Automotive Service Business Grows in Guatemala

Excel Automotriz opened a new service center of 2 thousand square meters, at kilometer 126.5 of the highway to the Atlantic in Rio Hondo, Zacapa.

Company executives informed that in the new service center there will be maintenance and repair of vehicles, and also sell different types of spare parts.
