Tender for Port in Amador Postponed

The opening of bids in the tender for the concession of the construction and operation of the cruise port in Amador, Panama, has been postponed until January 31 this year.

Wednesday, January 11, 2017

At the request of most of the 43 companies interested in the project, the Panama Maritime Authority decided to change the date of opening of bids in the tender, originally scheduled for January 16.

"... The companies argued that they needed to see the previous studies that have been made in the area, such as the bathymetry study, which shows the depth that there is in the area of the project, which will be administered by the state through a scheme that has not yet been defined."

"... In addition to asking for more time to gather the documents required in the specifications, the companies requested that a cash advance be applied
on the part of the AMP after the award of the project, but the institution did not accept the request."
