Through a system that monitors in real time the changes in the interests and preferences of consumers in Central American countries, developed by CentralAmericaData, it is possible to project short and long term demand trends for the different products, sectors and markets that operate in the region.

In the Costa Rican market, the short-term trend of consumer interactions in the digital environment associated with the issue of apartment rentals, shows a sustained increase since April 12th. At the end of August, interest was still rising.

The report details that in Guatemala between March 8 and April 12, Internet interactions fell sharply; however, between mid-April and the end of August, the interest shown by consumers has reported a considerable rise.

In the case of the Panamanian market, the short-term trend is that since August 2, interactions in the digital environment have increased considerably.

In El Salvador, between April and the end of July, interest in apartment rentals grew constantly, but from July 26 to August 16, interactions in the digital environment fell again. In the third week of August a slight recovery began to be registered.

In the Honduran market, the interactive system points out that in the digital environment, interactions associated with apartment rentals have increased, a behavior that is evident in the weeks from April 19 to August 23.

This tool for monitoring the interests of consumers in any country in the region allows companies to project demand trends and anticipate the changes that will occur in the various sectors and categories of products and services. This information system allows tracking of any product or category, resulting in an extremely valuable input for making business decisions in the new commercial reality.
