American businessmen meet in Guatemala

Businesspersons from 17 American companies arrived in the country on a trade mission headed by Edward Schafer, US Secretary of Agriculture.

The mission will visit the countries that are a part of CAFTA: Guatemala (currently being visited), El Salvador, Honduras, Nicaragua and the Dominican Republic, and will last four days. The businesspersons are planning to meet with at least 70 companies in said countries.

British Trade Mission Comes to Central America

Entrepreneurs from the energy, infrastructure, mining and telecommunications sectors will first visit Guatemala and then Panama and Nicaragua.

Under the framework of British Week in Guatemala, organized by the Embassy of the United Kingdom, a mission of businessmen interested in trade and investment will be received in the country from 22 February to 2 March 2013, focusing on sectors such as energy, infrastructure, mining and telecommunications.

Salvadoran Trade Mission in Cuba

Companies and businessmen will participate in the First Business Fair Cuba-El Salvador.

The meeting takes place as Salvadoran President, Mauricio Funes, visits the country. This is the first visit by a Salvadoran president in more than fifty years.

The business delegation includes pharmaceutical companies, medical supplies, construction and food among others.

US to push investment in Central America

September 2008

American Agriculture Secretary, Ed Schafer, will head a business mission to Central America from September 21-24.

Schafer stated that 17 agricultural business persons from the United Sates will travel with the delegation whose objective is to develop additional commercial contacts with over 70 companies in Central America and the Dominican Republic.
