American Livestock Exposition

From July 16th to 26th the trade fair in Nicaragua will bring together companies in the livestock sector in the region.

During the event business appointments will be held and exhibitions given of refrigeration equipment, agricultural machinery, power generators, irrigation pumps and vehicles, among other activities related to livestock products.

Expica's manager Benjamin Bales, told Elnuevodiario.com.ni that they will be holding "... a series of technical talks on genetic improvement of livestock. 'Definitely in this show, and the next, there will be new research (for breeding) as they are already are doing it and it is starting to get popular.'"

Also this year, several improvements were made in the premises where the activity will take place. "The improvements include a restructuring of the west parking facilities, building a new box office, a reception, a pavilion with Central American flags; also the southern part of the facilities will be renovated, a lookout point over Lake Managua will be created and all of the bathrooms will be refurbished."

From 19 to 22 November, producers and representatives of companies in the livestock sector will be showcasing their products and taking part in business meetings.

The 17th edition of the National Agricultural Fair will be held at the Parque Nacional de Ferias, south of Managua, which will showcase and market the best of cattle and horses.

Expica 2012, the nineteenth edition of the traditional trade show dedicated to the livestock industry, opened with expectations of doing more than $14 million worth of business.

The cattle trade show, opened on July 20th, will receive over 100,000 visitors and generate sales of between 70 and 100 head of breeding stock, showcasing the best cattle in Central America.

Guatemala to Host ExpoPeru 2011

Beginning March 28 through 29 some 30 Peruvian companies will meet at the Guatemalan capital.

In order to identify business opportunities with Guatemalan businessmen, the Commission for the Promotion of Peruvian Exports and Tourism (PromPeru) has organized the ExpoPerú 2011, to be held in Guatemala on March 28 hoping it may provide key connections for a two-way trade between Guatemala and Peru.
