Rise in Production of Colombian Coffee

Colombia produced 3.2 million sacks in the first quarter, 9% more than the 2.9 million sacks produced between January and March 2015.

From a statement by the National Federation of Coffee Growers in Colombia:

Bogota, April 6, 2016 (Press FNC) - Colombia, the largest producer of mild arabica washed coffee, recorded a crop of 944,000 sacks of 60 kilos in March, which is an increase of 18% compared to the 800,000 sacks produced in March 2015.

Between January and March this year, there has been a production of almost 3.2 million sacks, up 9% compared with the 2.9 million sacks produced between January and March 2015.

Record Coffee Production in Colombia

November 2016

The largest producer of washed Arabica coffee increased its harvest in the last twelve months by 3%, reaching 14 million bags each weighing 60 kilos.

From a statement by the National Federation of Coffee Growers in Colombia:

The General Manager of the FNC celebrated production levels and coffee prices and invited coffee growers to take advantage of them to plan for the future. He also recalled that current price levels are offsetting losses in the first half of the year. In the last twelve months Colombia coffee exports amounted to 12.39 million bags. 

Colombian Coffee Production Up 16%

March 2016

Between March 2015 and February this year the country achieved a production of 14.3 million bags of 60 kilos, 16% more than the nearly 12.4 million in the previous harvest.

Bogotá - Colombia, the largest producer of mild washed arabica coffee, recorded a harvest in February of 1.1 million bags each weighing 60 kilos and that the growth rate has been maintained, however, they remain on alert because of the effect of the intense El Niño.

Record Colombian Coffee Production

November 2015

The 2014/15 harvest of soft washed Arabica coffee amounted to 13.6 million bags each weighing 60 kilos, the highest figure in the last 22 years.

Bogota, November 5, 2015 (Press FNC) Colombia, largest producer of mild washed Arabica coffee, recorded a harvest of 13.6 million bags of 60 kilos in the last twelve months (November 2014-October 2015), which is 12% more compared to the 12.2 million bags harvested in the period one year ago.

Colombian Coffee Production Up 8%

April 2015

The production of soft washed Arabica coffee for the last twelve months reached 12.3 million bags weighing 60 kilos, 8% more than the 11.5 million bags produced in the corresponding previous period.
