Alcoholic beverages: Production up to October 2018

In the first ten months of 2018, the alcoholic beverage production in Panama was 251.3 million liters, 1% less than that recorded in the same period of 2017.

The most recent figures published by the General Comptroller of the Republic, detail that the alcoholic beverage production generally reported a decline, reducing from 253.9 million liters from January to October 2017, to 251.2 million liters in the same period of 2018.

In the first ten months of 2018, Cognac was the liquor recording the largest increase in production over the same period in 2017, increasing from 30,642 liters to 41,801 liters, registering a 36% increase.

For the months concerned, beer production decreased 1%, from 243.1 million liters in 2017 to 240.7 million liters in 2018.

Alcoholic Beverages: Production up to June 2018

August 2018

In the first six months of 2018, the production alcoholic beverages in Panama amounted to 150.4 million liters, 4% less than in the same period in 2017.

According to the latest data from the General Comptroller of the Republic, production of alcoholic beverages in general reported a decline, falling from 156.7 million liters in the first half of 2017, to 150.4 million liters in the same period in 2018. 

Production of Alcoholic Beverages Up 8%

November 2017

Between January and October 2017, 254 thousand liters of alcoholic beverages were produced in Panama, 8% more than was registered in production in the same period in 2016.

According to figures from the Comptroller General of the Republic, production of alcoholic beverages in the first ten months of 2017 increased 8% in year-on-year terms, rising from 235 thousand liters between January and October 2016, to 254 thousand liters in the same period in 2017.
