Alcoholic Beverages: Production in 2018

Last year, the production of alcoholic beverages in Panama was 301.9 million liters, 2% less than that recorded in 2017, which is due to the reported decline in beer production.

The latest report of the General Comptroller of the Republic details that the production of alcoholic beverages in general reported a decline, reducing from 308.8 million liters in 2017, to 301.9 million liters in 2018.

Last year, Cognac was the liquor that registered the largest increase in production compared to 2017, rising from 38,100 liters to 51,920 liters, recording an increase of 36%.

For the years concerned, beer production decreased 2%, from 296.1 million liters in 2017 to 289.1 million liters in 2018.

The most recent figures published by the General Comptroller of the Republic, detail that the production of alcoholic beverages in general reported a decline, reducing from 26.3 million liters in January 2018, to 23.5 million liters in the same month of 2019.

Alcoholic Beverages: Production up to June 2018

August 2018

In the first six months of 2018, the production alcoholic beverages in Panama amounted to 150.4 million liters, 4% less than in the same period in 2017.

According to the latest data from the General Comptroller of the Republic, production of alcoholic beverages in general reported a decline, falling from 156.7 million liters in the first half of 2017, to 150.4 million liters in the same period in 2018.
