Alcoholic Beverages: Production Decreases 8% in April 2019

In the first quarter of the year, the production of alcoholic beverages in Panama was 95 million liters, 8% less than that recorded in the same period of 2018.

The most recent figures published by the General Comptroller of the Republic, detail that the production of alcoholic beverages in general reported a decline, reducing from 102.8 million liters from January to April 2018, to 95.1 million liters in the same period of 2019.

In the first four months of 2019, Cognac continued to be the liquor recording the largest increase in production over the same period in 2018, rising from 3,816 liters to 17,961 liters, recording a 371% increase.

The latest data published by the General Comptroller of the Republic, detail that the production of alcoholic beverages generally reported a decline, reducing from 49.7 million liters from January to February 2018, to 48 million liters in the same period of 2019.

Alcoholic Beverages: Production up to June 2018

August 2018

In the first six months of 2018, the production alcoholic beverages in Panama amounted to 150.4 million liters, 4% less than in the same period in 2017.

According to the latest data from the General Comptroller of the Republic, production of alcoholic beverages in general reported a decline, falling from 156.7 million liters in the first half of 2017, to 150.4 million liters in the same period in 2018.
