Agribusiness and Manufacturing: Virtual Business Roundtable

Local companies with exportable supply from the agricultural and manufacturing sectors will participate on November 5 and 6 in a virtual business roundtable with buyers from different countries.

Participating businessmen will have the opportunity to meet virtually with potential buyers from 11 different markets: United States, El Salvador, Honduras, Nicaragua, Costa Rica, Panama, Dominican Republic, Chile, Europe, Canada and Mexico.

From the Agexport statement:

As one of the business tools that AGEXPORT offers to businessmen, the Virtual Macro Roundtable is created through the Business Intelligence Unit of the Department of Market Development and Trade Promotion.

This activity seeks to make known the exportable offer of Guatemala to more than 100 potential buyers of the markets detected as Best Markets by AGEXPORT. Detailed Andrea Pontaza, Coordinator of the markets of Central America, Dominican Republic and Mexico of AGEXPORT.

The 1st Virtual Macro Wheel will be held on November 5 and 6, 2019 at the AGEXPORT facilities and is aimed at exporting businessmen interested in having the opportunity to meet virtually with potential buyers from 11 different markets: United States, El Salvador, Honduras, Nicaragua, Costa Rica, Panama, Dominican Republic, Chile, Europe, Canada and Mexico.

The methodology to be implemented will be through personalized business agendas which will be adjusted to the participating companies that "match" the demand of the buyers and the Guatemalan exportable offer. Pontaza stressed.

How to participate?

The company must have exportable supply of agricultural and manufacturing sectors that is admissible in the target markets in which it is interested.

Guatemala's Trade Mission to Mexico

From October 22nd to 25th, 2019, companies from several sectors of Guatemala will visit Mexico, where they will have business appointments with potential buyers, institutional visits and supermarkets.

Macro Business Conference Central America - Mexico

On July 2nd, Guatemala City will be hosting the 3rd edition of the business meeting between companies from Central America and Mexico.

From a statement issued by the Guatemalan Exporters Association (AGEXPORT):

On July 2, 2015 at the Westin Camino Real, the 3rd. edition of AGEXPORT 's Macro Meeting for Central America and Mexico will be held, in which small and medium enterprises in the region will hold for a full day, business meetings with international buyers, with the goal of augmenting the exports of participating SMEs.

Guatemala’s Exports to Mexico Up 16%

Between January and August Guatemala’s sales to Mexico increased by 16% compared to the same period last year.

The increase in sales to Mexico has generated enthusiasm in the Guatemalan export sector, which is seeking to strengthen trade ties and convert the neighboring country into it's main export destination.
