Agribusiness: Results from Participating in International Fairs
Ten Guatemalan companies closed deals for $7 million in the Fruit Logistica fair in Germany.

Agricultural entrepreneurs managed to make 53 new contacts after holding 87 business appointments.

A delegation of 10 Guatemalan companies took part, in February 2014, in the horticultural trade fair 'Fruit Logistica' in Berlin, Germany, where they showed products such as French beans, snow peas, sweet pea, blackberry, rambutan, lemon, zucchini, broccoli, mini vegetables, among others, projecting business deals worth $7 million.
There was also a focus on supplying the European market, agricultural entrepreneurs acquired 53 new contacts after holding 87 business appointments.
It is anticipated that such participation will generate 1,078 direct jobs and 224 indirect ones, in the agricultural sector in Guatemala, due to the supply of products involved in the value chain of the horticultural market.

From March 21st to 23rd in Antigua, Guatemala, more than 150 international buyers will participate in business rounds with agricultural producers in the region.

The AGRITRADE Platform of AGEXPORT invites Guatemalan companies of vegetables, fruits, differentiated products, ornamental plants, flowers and foliage, logistics, inputs and agro-industry to promote their exportable offer in the 19th.
Ornamental plants are part of agricultural export products to be exhibited from March 12nd to 13th, 2015 in the trade fair Agritrade & Expo 2015, to be held in Antigua.

In order to meet the demand for new market niches, the Commission on Ornamental Plants at AGEXPORT is inviting farmers to participate in the agricultural platform AGRITRADE Expo & Conference, an event which will be held on 12 and 13 March 2015 in Santo Domingo Hill, Antigua Guatemala, as there will be very high level buyers who are interested in the sector.
As part of the Agritrade Platform, Guatemala will participate for the 27th time in PMA Fresh Summit, the most important international trade show and convention of fruits and vegetables in the United States, which will take place at Anaheim Convention Center, California from October 17th to 19th.
Tropical fruits, fresh vegetables, baby vegetables, among others, will be the Guatemalan supply presented in Fresh Summit in Anaheim California
The organizers are in Central America to call on companies from the Central American horticultural sector to participate in the event to be held in Germany.
