Agreement Over Smuggling in Costa Rica

The Chamber of Commerce and the General Department of Customs have signed an agreement for exchange of information and monitoring of imports in order to control the illegal transit of goods.

From a statement issued by the Chamber of Commerce of Costa Rica:

Monday October 27, 2014. The Chamber of Commerce of Costa Rica (CCCR) and the General Department of Customs (DGA) on Monday signed an Agreement for Cooperation Trade Transparency in order to combat all unfair practices in trade, such as smuggling, counterfeiting and other illegal practices.

Cooperation will be based on the exchange of business information, training of customs staff and identifying hazardous operations for the commercial sector, in order to strengthen the correct payment of taxes; the entry and exit of goods from legal territory; and marketing in the domestic market.

Agreement to Integrate Customs Offices of Panama and Costa Rica

The aim is to implement the operation of customs offices of both countries in the same physical space, with the control of goods and passengers being carried out simultaneously.

The agreement between the customs authorities of Panama and Costa Rica includes recommendations, designs and procedural logic for an Integrated Control Center (CCI), to be constructed on the borders of Paso Canoas and Guabito-Sixaola.

Customs Controls Linked with U.S.

Panama Stock Exchange and Guayaquil Sign Agreement

The Stock Exchange has signed a mutual cooperation agreement with the aim of negotiating simultaneously releases.

The purpose of the agreement is to develop mutually beneficial initiatives generating releases of securities and transactions in both directions, including the adequacy of trading systems.

Panama and Peru Sign Agricultural Cooperation Agreement

The countries will sign an Agreement on Scientific-Technical Cooperation in Agricultural irrigation.

The agreement includes sharing experiences and knowledge, exchange of professionals in the field, participation in conferences, seminars and more.

"Both sides agree, upon signature of the document, to develop a Joint Action Plan within three months that will point out the areas and specific actions for development", Yahoo News publishes.
