The report "Vehicular Fleet in Central America in 2015," compiled by the Business Intelligence unit at CentralAmericaData com details the age of vehicles circulating in the countries in Central America.
Of all vehicles in circulation up to December 2015, 14% corresponded to units which were more than ten years old, and less than 15 years old.32% were vehicles made between the years 1986 to 2000.
When analyzing the vehicular fleet in Central America by brand, Toyota's predominance can be seen, with 19% of the total, followed by Honda, Nissan, Suzuki and Hyundai.
Of all the vehicles circulating in December 2015 in Central America, 21% corresponded to cars, 26% tomotorcycles and 17% to light-duty vehicles.

At the end of 2019, 32% of the vehicles circulating on the streets of Central America were of the brands Toyota, Nissan and Hyundai, while Honda, Suzuki, Kia, Isuzu, Mazda and Ford shared 25% of the total.
