Nacion.com reviews that "... On the afternoon of Monday, December 10th, Coprocom reported that two resources from the two companies involved in the transaction were received. One of Walmart, which seeks in the negotiation the acquisition of the formats Perimercados, Super Compro and Saretto, and the other of Gessa, owner and seller of these chains of retail businesses."

Regarding the appeal process, the article explains that "... After the first decision to deny the acquisition, the chains only had the right of revocation in this administrative way. After the administrative route was exhausted and if the transaction is denied again, the next route is not safe, but specialist lawyers said that there would be an appeal in the Administrative Contentious Court. This is going to court."

Regarding the purchase process in July this year, it was reported that Walmart had agreed to purchase the supermarket chains Perimercados, Súper Compro and the Saretto store, up to now owned by Grupo Empresarial de Supermercados.
