$7 million Tender for Tankers

The Panama Fire Department is putting out to tender eight tanker trucks with a capacity of 4,000 gallons of water each.

Panama Government Purchase 2018-1-51-01-08-LP-001310:

"Requirements are for tanker vehicles manufactured in Custom cabin for use in Latin America, with capacity for four passengers, automatic transmission with at least 5 speeds, 6-cylinder diesel engine, not less than 500 horsepower, tank with a capacity of four thousand gallons 750 gallons per minute pump, motor brake included (no exhaust brake will be accepted).

The vehicle provided will be new, manufactured no earlier than the year 2018, of the Custom type. Chassis Custom traction 6x4 (double rear axle) designed for emergency vehicles manufactured before the year 2018."

Reference value: $6.800.000.

Deadline for receipt of bids: August 28, 2018.

The fourteen trucks must meet the following specifications:

Truck for transport of 37.000 LBS of water, 6 cylinder, 210HPA.

New cab chassis, current year, 6 wheels, with a gross vehicle weight of 37,000 LBS, six-cylinder diesel engine, turbocharged.

Panama: $9.8 Million to Purchase Tanker Trucks

May 2010

The Fire Department invited bids for supplying 50 tanker trucks.

40 must be capable of storing 1.800 gallons of water and pumping it out at 500 gallons per minute (GPM), while the remaining 10 must store 2.200 gallons and have a pump capacity of 750 GPM.

The vehicles must comply with document 1901 of the NFPA, and its pumps must be certified by Underwriter Laboratories.
