6 Bids for Longitudinal Highway Stretch

The received bids for construction of the second stretch of the Northern Longitudinal Highway in El Salvador will be analyzed both technically and economically.

Some of the companies involved are "Asocio Temporal Inversiones OMNI (Multipav)", "Asocio CPK – Simán", "Constructora MECO", "Constructora Santa Fe Ltda", "Constructora Linares" and "Equipos de Construcción".

"Bids for building the road with asphalt concrete have a minimum price of $12.7 million and a $18.8 maximum. Only two proposals were submitted for hydraulic concrete, one priced $14.9 million and the other $18.5 million", published Elsalvador.com.

Meco To Build Highway Stretch in El Salvador

Company Meco was awarded a $23.04 million contract to build a stretch of the highway known as “Carretera Longitudinal del Norte” (CLN).

This stretch, 30.4 kilometers long, runs from Cuidad Barrios up to Osicala, in San Miguel, and from Delicias, Concepción to Cacaopera in Morazán.

El Salvador: Offers Presented for Northern Longitudinal Highway

Six companies participated in the bidding process for the construction of stretch 2B1 of the Northern Longitudinal Highway.

Prices ranged from $14.1 million to $22.8 million, with the winner expected to be announced next week.

"The stretch to be built is 6 km long, with two 3.25 meter lanes each, and an extra 1.5 meters on each side", reports Laprensagrafica.com.

The bidding for the second section (13.4 km) of the Longitudinal Highway North was opened.

There were six companies that made bids: MNV S.A. Gaskapital GRSA Consortium, the Italian company ASTALDI S.p.A., Constructora Santa Fe, Meco, CPK Consultores and SBI International Holding.
