6 Companies Interested in “Manuel Castillo” Residential Project

So far, at least 6 companies have expressed their interest in developing the $25 million project in Panama.

These companies, which must submit their bids on July 7, are Meco, Constructora Novoa, Heymocol-Promocon, Ingeniería Rec, Omega Engineering Inc and Cedeño Consorcio.

“The project, located in the province of Colón, will follow a similar approach to that of project Curundú, a comparable $94 million initiative”.

In Panama a contract has been awarded to the company Ingeniería REC, SA to design and build a social housing complex in the province of Veraguas.

In the tender for the supply of materials, labor, equipment and administration for studies, design and construction of the building project and infrastructure called "Urbanization San Antonio" in the province of Veraguas, the company Ingeniería REC, S.A.

The developers Ingeniería Rec S.A. and Nova S.A. were the only companies to bid for the $25 million project.

The contract is expected to be awarded in the first week of August.

“In the site visit five companies had an expressed an interest in bidding but only two have formalised their intention to stay in the project,” reports Prensa.com.

Panama: Odebrecht Awarded "Curundú" Project

Brazilian company "Constructora Norberto Odebrecht" won a $94 million contract to develop the infrastructure project.

The evaluation committee awarded the best score to Odebrecht, before the other two pre-qualified companies: Meco S.A. and Constructora Urbana S.A. (Cusa).

Three Companies Bid $95 Million for Curundú Project

Meco, Oderbrecht and Cusa are the three companies still in contention for developing the urban infrastructure project.

All three of them proposed costs around $95 million, from Cusa's bid at $94.933.650 to Meco's at $95.397.750.

According to Prensa.com, "Proyecto Curundú" comprises transforming some 160.000 square meters in the locality of the same name.
