$63 million Real Estate Investment

East of the Costa Rican capital, in Curridabat, plans are underway to build a mixed development consisting of an office and apartment tower, and a shopping center with 200 stores, cinemas, food courts plus 1,200 parking spaces.

The project, according to the Environmental Impact Study (EIA) submitted in February of this year to the Setena, also includes expansion and remodeling of the hardware store EPA. 

The EIA, submitted by CALLE CANTINA S.A., indicates that the work consists of creating a new development of mixed uses that includes the expansion and remodeling of EPA Curridabat, construction of a shopping center and construction of a tower of buildings, with areas for housing and offices. The approximate area of construction will be 122 thousand square meters. 

The project, whose total required investment is around $64 million, will be carried out in three stages, beginning with the remodeling and expansion of EPA. In a second phase the shopping center will be built, including accesses and connections for the provision of services; In the third stage, the tower-section offices will be built, and then construction of the section corresponding to the houses.

The 122 thousand square meters of construction will house 200 shops, a food fair, restaurants, cinemas, an 11 storey office tower, housing and 1,166 parking spaces.
