$62 million in Deals at Food Fair

During the AGRITRADE event held in Guatemala there were 1,700 business meetings between international buyers and Central American exporters, with deals $62 million.

From a statement issued by the Guatemalan Exporters Association (Agexport):

In the seventeenth edition of Expo & Conference AGRITRADE, 1,708 appointments were scheduled between international buyers and exporters / producers in Central America. Taking part in this event, were, among others, 127 entrepreneurs from the United States, Mexico, Europe, and Asia who found out about the agricultural supply in the region.

As a result of business meetings, the organizers have predict the event will close having negotiated more than $62 million in business deals in the short, medium and long term.

Ornamental plants are part of agricultural export products to be exhibited from March 12nd to 13th, 2015 in the trade fair Agritrade & Expo 2015, to be held in Antigua.

In order to meet the demand for new market niches, the Commission on Ornamental Plants at AGEXPORT is inviting farmers to participate in the agricultural platform AGRITRADE Expo & Conference, an event which will be held on 12 and 13 March 2015 in Santo Domingo Hill, Antigua Guatemala, as there will be very high level buyers who are interested in the sector.

AGRITRADE Expo & Conference will take place on March 12th-13th in Guatemala City, and will be attended by 100 international buyers.

In order to bring together in one place offerings of Central American agricultural exports, the AGRITRADE Expo & Conference from AGEXPORT, sold at its breakfast launch 50% of the show's floor, an event which will be held in 2015, in Santo Domingo Hill, Antigua Guatemala and will bring to the country more than 100 international buyers interested in coffee, cardamom, macadamia, broccoli, organic products, pepper, from Guatemala and Central America.

$27 million in Deals at Apen Expo 2012

The twelfth edition of the ExpoApen Fair that will begin on September 28 in Nicaragua, is expected to attract more than 75 international buyers and close deals worth $27 million.

Azucena Castillo, general manager of the Association of Producers and Exporters in Nicaragua (APEN), organizer of the event told the media that the registered companies "are direct representatives of supermarket chains and convenience stores in Central America, Europe, the United States, the Caribbean and Asia. "

Manufexport Completes Deals Worth $4 Million

The organizers expect next year's business deals to be worth $50 million.

The 50 participating exhibitors and 57 international buyers held 962 business meetings.

The coordinator of the Guatemalan Exporters’ Association (AGEXPORT), Marco Tulio Recinos, told Sigloxxi.com that, "the event was a success" and added that, "markets were more diversified with 44% of buyers from the US but also representatives from the Dominican Republic and Mexico".
