$4 Million in Video Surveillance System

Panama Government Purchase 2019-2-96-0-03-LV-010126:

"The contractor shall provide a computer platform (software) with their respective licenses, use documentation, which provides a global VMS solution, compact, scalable and optimized for command and control, which allows synchronizing the video surveillance of areas subject to coverage, with other existing or new security systems (that meet industry standards) allowing administration from a powerful and intuitive graphical interface.

One hundred and ninety-two (192) IP cameras connected by optical fiber point in two (2) phases are required for the entire project, described below:
The first phase (Phase I) requires the installation of ninety-six (96) PTZ IP cameras and thirty-one (31) fixed IP cameras.
The second phase (Phase II) requires the installation of forty-nine (49) PTZ IP cameras, fifteen (15) fixed IP cameras and one (1) 180-degree panoramic IP camera."

Reference value: $4,000,000.

Deadline for receipt of tenders: 6 June 2019.

The mayoral office of San Salvador has announced it will be investing $15 million in the installation of a video surveillance system to complement the 500 cameras already operating in the capital.

Although the initiative of the mayoral office has been criticized by some sectors, Mayor Najib Bukele stated that the bidding process will be transparent and will be supervised by the Attorney General.
