$26 million in Deals at ExpoApen 2014

Nicaraguan exporters struck deals worth $26.4 million, with peanuts, beans, chia, tubers, dragon fruit, coconut and ginger arousing the most interest.

During the fair various products were presented, from food to construction materials, including clothing, packaging and banking, but the event mainly featured agricultural products.

Sigrid Morales, coordinator of the office exporters of the Association of Producers and Exporters of Nicaragua (APEN), told Nicaraguahoy.info that "...On the first day, preliminarily, at close of business we have $26.4 million in deals."

"...40% of the buyers came from Central America, 33.3% from North America, 25.3% from Europe and 1.4% in South America."
