A detailed statistical compilation of Costa Rican exports in 2011 has been released.

From the Introduction of Foreign Trade Statistics Costa Rica, 2011, by the Foreign Trade Promotion Office of Costa Rica:
The paper's main objective is to make a detailed compilation of statistics on Costa Rica’s foreign trade in 2011 with the purpose of analyzing the behavior of Costa Rican exports as well as performance according to the main variables of interest.
Therefore the document is divided into chapters each of which presents the information regarding the main variables of analysis namely, productive sectors and export products, regions and countries of destination, export regimes, companies, geographical region origin, classifications and imports and transportation.
The first chapter presents the evolution of foreign trade in Costa Rica in the last 10 years and is supplemented with the growth of exports and imports per year.
The second chapter presents export statistics by export manufacturing sector, presenting information for each trade balance, main exports and imports, main destinations and major exporters.
The third chapter shows statistically the performance of major export products, presenting for each of the fifty main export products trends, major destinations and number of companies.
The fourth and fifth chapter presents trade by destination of exports. Specifically, in the fourth chapter exports are shown by region of destination, presenting information for each trade balance, main exports and imports, main destinations of exports and origins of imports within the region and major exporters during the 2010. Moreover, the fifth chapter, includes statistics on the main destination countries for each presenting the evolution of the trade balance and main products exported and imported from that market for Costa Rica.
The sixth chapter includes information on the evolution and behavior of exports from Costa Rica under the export procedure. In addition, there is an elaboration of trade performance for each of the schemes on trade balance information, main exports and imports, main destinations of exports and main export companies in 2010.
Of the total exported during the past year, 27% correspond to agricultural products, 26% to medical equipment, 16% to food products and 6% to chemical pharmaceutical products.
