$13.5 Million for Energy Project Construction

A 9.8 MW clean energy power generation project will be built in Panama, using almost 22 thousand photovoltaic modules with a capacity of 2,500 kW.

"The construction of an energy project is planned in a flat area that was intended for livestock activity within the framework of university teaching, because it will be located on land belonging to the Faculty of Agricultural Sciences of the University of Panama.

In the province of Chiriqui, clean energy will be generated with photovoltaic cells capable of producing 9.8 MW, using an area of 9 hectares.

A fixed structure that takes up 64.15% of the land ratio will be built, with a peak power of 11.7 MWdc and a nominal power of 9.75 MWac, with 21,870 photovoltaic modules, in addition, there will be four transformation centers of up to 2,500 kw.

The area covered will be distributed as follows: the area of photovoltaic cells is 8.87 Ha. and the substation area is 0.13 Ha.
