$10 million Invested in Dairy Plant

With the expansion carried out by Nestlé at its plant in the Dominican Republic, the company will have the capacity to produce 12,000 containers for ultra-pasteurized products per hour.

Representatives from the company reported that with the investment of $10 million made in its new line of flexible packaging, the plant located in San Francisco de Macoris will have the capacity to produce 12,000 containers per hour for ultra-pasteurized products.

For his part, the CEO of Nestlé for the Caribbean, Alexandre Carreteiro, told Eldinero.com.do that " ... with the investment of US $10 million in the new production line for flexible formats in San Francisco de Macoris, the company is committed to its growth in the country."

Regarding the figures of Nestlé operations in the country, Carreteiro added that " ... the company has 830 direct and 12,000 indirect employees in the country. While purchase of liters of milk per year contributes about RD $1 billion ($20.4 million)."
