$10 million In Deals at Real Estate Fair

In the construction and housing fair that is taking place in Managua, developers plan to sell 250 homes, mainly of the multifamily type.

For this fair, the country's various banking institutions have $180 million available for  mortgage loans.

"... The sale of the houses during the fair could generate US $10 million, in addition to contact with potential customers who will be buying their homes in the coming months, said Hector Lacayo, president of Cadur. Last year, Cadur registered a total of 5,000 homes sold."

Elnuevodiario.com.ni reports that "...At the beginning of this month the first multifamily house was inaugurated in the residential complex San Andrés, located on the new road to León. The project was executed by the construction company Lacayo Fiallos, which will be building six more buildings this year, Ricardo Meléndez, project manager of the company, said yesterday."

Real Estate Fair Announced in Panama

In the upcoming edition of CAPAC Expo Habitat, to be held from September 5 to 9, the real estate developers' union expects that $120 million worth of deals will be struck.

The event will be held at the ATLAPA Convection Center, and will include the participation of more than 400 exhibitors, among them construction, real estate and decorating companies. About 600 projects for houses, apartments and land located in different areas of the country will be exhibited.

Housing Market in Panama: What to Expect in 2017

This year the union of housing developers plans to build 10,958 houses and apartments and generate sales of $979 million, 23% more than in 2016.

Figures from the National Council of Housing Promoters (Convivienda) indicate that in 2016, 8,864 houses were built and sales of $793 million were made, an increase of almost 8% compared to 2015. 

Luxury Housing Fair in Managua

March 2017

The construction union has organized for March 23 and 24 a fair which will showcase the supply of houses worth more than $100,000, and commercial and office buildings.

The event, called the Luxury Homes & Building Fair, will be held at the Hotel Intercontinental Metrocentro in Managua. Representatives from the Chamber of Builders of Nicaragua (Cadur) explained that the fair is being organized in response to the growing development of the property market in the country.

Regional Forum on Housing and Construction

July 2016

Financing for housing and sustainable urban development will be the topics under discussion at the event to be held on August 22 and 23 in Managua.

The Chamber of Builders in Nicaragua and the Inter-American Housing Union are organizing the event, which will bring together professional financial real estate companies, developers and builders, banks and finance companies, savings and loans companies for housing, cooperatives, investors, and representatives of public entities.
