The group has more than 22 years of operation offering products to banks, industries and government agencies.

The new site will operate in Seoul on the same premises currently occupied by the Embassy of Costa Rica in China.

Seoul, Korea, October 13, 2016.With an eye to opening up new business opportunities for domestic exporters, the Foreign Trade Promotion Office of Costa Rica (PROCOMER) inaugurated on Thursday a new office in the capital city of Korea, Seoul.With this new sales representation in addition to the existing ones, there are 41 offices around the world which continue to support the efforts of Costa Rican internationalization.
The Foreign Trade Promoter will open its office in New York on November 18 and expects to do the same in Los Angeles and Houston some time this year.
As part of reorganization efforts at the entity, Alvaro Chain was named regional director of the Central American Promoter, Emmanuel Hess, general manager of the organization, reported.
Procomer is also in the final stage of the process of opening an branch office in Panama.
For Emmanuel Hess, general manager of Procomer, "the opening of this office will strengthen the commercial relation between Panama and Costa Rica, which will allow us to benefit more from the economic boom of our neighbor."
The opening of these offices in countries with which we have free trade agreements is a part of the National Export Strategy.
Aldo Vallejo, Director of the Export Promotion Agency (EXPORTA), indicated that these offices provide exporters with commercial intelligence information about business opportunities and commercial contracts.
Guatemala, El Salvador, Honduras and Nicaragua have joined forces to open an office in Miami to promote tourism in the region.
El Salvador's Tourism Minister, Rubén Rochi, said in a press release that the four nations will have a new promotion office, starting tomorrow.
The purpose of the office is "to position our tourism destines in the most important market in the region, which is the United States and Canada," the press release said.
